Attitude Files Suit Against Former Driver

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A lawsuit has been filed by Attitude New York, charging former chauffeur Jeffrey Kaplan with stealing the company’s confidential contact information. Kaplan, now owner of E-Z Ryder Limousine, is accused by Attitude of poaching movie star, pro athlete, politician, and executive clients once he left in June 2006.

“Kaplan has solicited Paul Giamatti, Kate Hudson, and Goldie Hawn, all of whom were Attitude clients,” says the lawsuit. Attitude says the client contact list, like the one allegedly stolen by Kaplan, is critical to its business and without it will not stay in business. The company hopes the lawsuit will stop Kaplan from further soliciting its clients and force him to return the contact information they say he allegedly took with him.
