WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Limousine Association has joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a Federation Member to strengthen the position of NLA members and the entire limousine industry for lobbying in the nation’s capital. The Chamber is the world’s largest business group representing more than three million entities of all sizes and sectors. Its mission is to “fight for business and free enterprise before the U.S. Congress, the White House, regulatory agencies, the courts, the court of public opinion, and governments around the world.”
The NLA also announced that staff member Darcie Benard was promoted to Association Programs Manager from her previous position Member Services Coordinator effective March 1. In this newly created role, Benard will implement the association’s requirements for LCT shows/conferences, manage the publication of the annual NLA Directory of Members, and assist with many other initiatives, including sponsorship and advertising sales. Benard brought 14 years of association management experience to the NLA when she joined the staff in June 2005. She remains responsible for day-to-day member services until her successor is recruited.
