LOS ANGELES -- With LAX airport as the backdrop, the Greater California Livery Association (GCLA) held its first dinner meeting of the year at the classy Proud Bird Restaurant in Los Angeles. First at the podium was Rick Brown, co-owner of La Costa Limousine in Carlsbad, Calif., whose term as GCLA’s president has ended. He introduced Alan Shanedling, owner of Fleetwood Limousine in Culver City, Calif., as the new GCLA president. Shanedling then welcomed the 2006 board of directors and committee chairs: Jonna Sabroff, vice president; Mark Stewart, secretary; Tom Chesney, treasurer; Rich Azzolino; Mo Garkani; Bill James; Jack Nissim; Robert Vaughan; and vendor liaison Nick Chernin of Limousine Management Systems (LMS).

As president, Shanedling informed members of his goals for 2006: to improve the bottom line of members’ companies and to make it easier for members to operate their businesses.
