CORONA, CALIF. — Car doors that swing up vertically, first popularized in Lamborghini sports cars, are getting more attention from car enthusiasts. This has led a an aftermarket company in Corona to get into the business.

The company, called Vertical Doors, is on track for sales of $6 million this year. The firm is shipping anywhere from 500 to 800 kits a month to car dealers, body shops and individuals. A company representative says the doors have caught the attention of limousine coachbuilders.
