LAS VEGAS — Lancer Insurance Company recently presented its 1st Annual NLA Humanitarian Award to the NLA’s outgoing president, Jeff Greene. Greene is CEO of Greene Classic Limousines in Atlanta. The award, which was presented at the NLA’s annual meeting at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas by Lancer’s Executive Vice President and co-founder Tim Delaney, acknowledges actions by a limousine industry individual which are “above and beyond the scope of their corporate responsibilities.”

In his remarks accompanying the presentation of a beautiful trophy and cash award, Delaney recounted the events of March 2, 2007 which led to Mr. Greene’s unanimous selection for the 2008 award.

“On that late winter day just over a year ago”, remarked Delaney, “a horrific bus crash occurred on a highway only minutes away from Jeff’s office in Atlanta. The crash involved a charter bus transporting 35 members of the Bluffton College baseball team from Ohio. The crash resulted in seven fatalities and 22 injuries, three of which were critical. Upon hearing the scope of the tragedy,” Delaney continued, “Jeff quickly took action and contacted the airline AirTran, which was providing transport of affected relatives from Ohio to Atlanta. With no questions asked, Green Classic Limousines provided ground transportation for all family members to hospitals and hotels in the Atlanta area. By week’s end, Greene Classic Limousine provided almost 60 hours of free limo, mini-bus, and van transportation to dozens of very appreciative family members.”
