MIAMI — The 3rd Annual Brady Simmer Fundraiser begins soon, and the Simmers hope to have another successful year. All funds raised go to a very good cause, that not only helps the Simmer's, but other families dealing with Retinoblastoma as well. Last year’s event raised around $25,000, smashing the previous year’s total of $6,000.
This year money will be raised through sponsoring runners in the Miami marathon. Scott Tinkler, vice president of Aventura Worldwide Transportation, based in Miami, will be participating in the Miami Marathon, held Jan. 27, 2008.
Donations can be made on a per mile basis, or one lump sum for the race. There is no minimum, and any money pledged, regardless of the amount, will be appreciated. Former NHL player, and current Florida Panthers radio color analyst, Bill Lindsay, will also be running the race as a show of his support to this event.
If you would like to make a donation, please make a check payable to "The Brady Simmer Foundation" and mail it to the address below or email [email protected]
