Tim Rose brings his expertise to next year’s highly anticipated event.
LAS VEGAS – Bill Connors, executive director and chief operating officer of the National Business Travel Association, will update operators attending the LCT Show with the latest corporate travel trends.
His address will be part of the annual “State of the Industry” presentation at the show.
Connors joined the NBTA, an association representing corporate travel managers and others in that industry, since January 2003. He previously served as senior vice president, meetings, education and member services for the American Society of Travel Agents. He also was vice president marketing/relationship management for the Institute of Certified Travel Agents.
The 20th anniversary LCT Show – www.lctshow.com – is set for Feb. 22 to 24 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.
In conjunction with the National Limousine Association, the show will provide a wide variety of other informational and educational sessions geared to operators of all experience levels.
For All Attendees: Keynote Addresses
No attendee should miss the dual keynote addresses Monday and Tuesday. George Zimmer of the Men’s Wearhouse and Terry Jones of Travelocity will provide their insights on being an entrepreneur and creating an image that sets you apart from your competition.
Zimmer, president of The Men’s Wearhouse, will share his experience of starting a business with $7,000 and a dream. His focus on customer loyalty and building long-lasting relationships is inspirational.

In addition, a session on employment practices is planned. Understanding How to Be an Employer of Choice: Best Practices for Hiring and Firing will help you learn the keys to hiring the best staff that you can, and what to do if faced with the need to terminate someone.
First Timers’ Agenda: Get Started at Limo 101
According to a recent LCT poll, many first time attendees are one- and two-car operators who have either closed their business or leaned on friends or family to run it while they’re at the show. Complete your day’s education with the State of the Industry address. Ty Bobit of Bobit Publishing and Sara Eastwood of LCT Magazine will review the past year and preview the one ahead and you’ll hear from the NBTA’s Connors.

Later on Monday, the NLA Annual Membership Meeting will provide information on your professional association.
