BALSAM LAKE, WI. – A successful Wisconsin program helps keep drunk drivers off the road by providing rides in a stretch limousine. The Party Barge limousines drive drinkers between their home and a bar or from bar-to-bar for $5 a ride or $20 a night in Polk County, Wis.

The program, and another like it in Iowa County, Wis., has proven so successful that Wisconsin's Bureau of Transportation Safety has secured funding from the federal government to start similar programs in four more Wisconsin counties. The program began in 2002 and now features four stretch limousines.
