BOSTON — Three Boston companies are among the country's 100 fastest-growing inner-city companies. “Inc.” magazine and the Boston-based Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) compiled the rankings.

“By choosing to grow businesses in America's inner cities, the owners of these businesses are transforming urban landscapes across the nation,' said Michael Porter, a Harvard Business School professor who founded the ICIC.

Ranking 21st on the list is Roxbury Technology, which makes and recycles printer cartridges. The company had $5.2 million of 2003 revenues, as well as a five-year growth of 916%.

Ranking 57th, City Lights Electrical had $44.7 million of 2003 revenues and a five-year growth of 404%.

Ranking 97th, Commonwealth Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation had 2003 revenues of $9.2 million, with 164% growth over five years.
