Airline On-Time Performance Down from Last Year

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. airlines in January achieved an on-time performance ratio of 73.1%, an improvement from December but well below the 78.8% performance recorded for Jan. 2006. Among major airlines, Southwest (82.4%) was the most punctual and American (67.4%) was the least.
