LOS ANGELES, CALIF. — Recent celebrity transportation at award shows may reflect a shift toward an increasing concern for the environment.

Big names, such as Gwyneth Paltrow, George Clooney, and Natalie Portman arrived to the 2006 Oscars in hybrid vehicles. EcoLimo, a company specializing in alternatively fueled chauffeured transportation, was hired to transport Al Gore to the premiere of his movie about global warming, An Inconvenient Truth. The company has also been commissioned to handle day-to-day transportation for Paramount Vantage, the movie’s producer.
