RICHMOND, Va. — Never let it be said that James Limousine doesn’t get excited — and creative -- during the holiday season. The award-winning company, owned by Randy and Lynn Allen and Tom Henry since 1992, not only offers their renowned Holiday Tacky Light Tours, but also launched Black Friday Shopping Service for those die-hard shoppers who treat the official start of the Christmas gift buying season as both a fun and tactical operation.

Not only does the Black Friday service take away the hassle of driving and parking at crowded malls and shopping districts during the Thanksgiving weekend, but chauffeurs also will retrieve shoppers’ purchases from stores to lighten their loads and also carry shopping bags to your door. The company also gets in the shopping spirit by offering a 20% discount on any vehicle — a bargain right off the bat.

“This is generally a slow time of year so we are pushing the shopping tours,” said Randy Allen, who serves as the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. “It’s a great way for women to have a fun outing that takes the hassle out of driving and parking.”

Celebrating its 26th year as a Richmond tradition, the James Limousine Holiday Tacky Light Tour has become a tradition for both corporate clients, families and others who get together to take in the most extravagant outdoor twinkling lights and holiday displays.

The company does its homework each year and plans tours that have the most up-to-date list of homes and venues adorned with over-the-top light displays. The tour also stops at t at the James Center, where thousands upon thousands of twinkling lights and ornaments illuminate a dazzling 45-foot tree.

In addition, James Limousine partners with a catering company offering passengers appetizers and holiday treats, and offers tour gift certificates, which add a bit more green to the company’s Christmas stocking.

"It gets bigger and bigger every year. Every limousine and bus company in the region is busy and I estimate that collectively it brings in more than half-a million dollars in revenue for limousine and bus companies,” Allen said.
