Major Investment Fuels Blacklane’s Expansion in Japan

International German-based TNC Blacklane, announced a seven-digit euro funding round, led by Japan-based Recruit Holdings that will support Blacklane’s strategic plans in Japan.

Founded in 2011, Blacklane is a transportation service aimed at business travelers. Users can book rides via the company’s app or website. Blacklane does not does not own its own fleet but instead aggregates the excess capacity of local partners.

The company’s partners include Mercedes-Benz, Hertz and Mastercard. The company is rapidly expanding acrtoss the globe, with operations in Europe, South America, Canada, and U.S. (New York City and Los Angeles).
