Fewer Hybrid Vehicles Keep A Cost-Saving Edge

Gasoline-electric hybrids are losing their competitive edge over ther gasoline counterparts due to falling fuel prices and more efficient internal combustion engines, according to a five-year owner cost analysis by Vincentric.

    I just wish that the US carmakers would start exploring the clean diesel option that many parts of the world now are using. Europe is over 50% diesel, South America, with the exception of Brazil, has a high percentage of diesel cars and light trucks. The emissions are lower than gasoline, and provide a significant improvement in fuel economy.
