It's hard to believe an uberx driver will make $90K annually. One of my old drivers drove an uberX hybrid camry for about a year and quit this profession claiming "It's a waste of time". This year alone, Uber cut UberX rates significantly, increased UberX commision from 5 to 20% and implemented $10 per week iphone data fee. My driver was making on average about $5-6 per hour after gas expenses. True, during the surge pricing, UberX driver can make even $25 per hour, this only happens either very late on Saturday night, say 11pm, but who wants to drive saturday night after the whole week?
