Dawson Rutter Named TLPA Operator of the Year

Dawson A. Rutter, President and CEO of Commonwealth Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation of Boston, Mass., was named 2014 Limousine and Sedan Operator of the Year by the Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association (TLPA).

“We are honored to accept this prestigious award,” said Rutter. “To be chosen from hundreds of the best worldwide transportation companies is a testament to the uncommon commitment our team demonstrates each and every day.”

Since he founded the company with a single limousine in Boston in 1982, Commonwealth now boasts worldwide services in 79 different countries, specializing in Financial Road Shows, General Aviation, Corporate Travel, Entertainment, Meetings & Special Events and Luxury Hotels.

With wholly owned fleets in Boston and New York City, the company employs more than 400 professionals. A five-time winner of Boston Magazine’s “Best of Boston” Award for Best Car Service, as well as recently being awarded the New York City “Concierge Choice” Award for Best Limousine Service, Commonwealth Worldwide continues its pattern of significant growth.

“We’ve earned a stellar reputation in our industry, with one simple premise, we always want to keep our promises, so our clients can keep theirs,” noted Rutter.

The TLPA is a non-profit trade organization for the private passenger transportation industry with more than 1,100 members across the globe.
