Marriott Adds Hotels As Meetings Demand Rises

As meetings venues attract more events, hoteliers are following suit with plans for more convention center hotels in the U.S., according to real estate investment firm Jones Lang LaSalle. The new hotel activity helps confirm a stabilizing economy and improving corporate performance that are spurring a recovery in meetings demand and spending.
