Lyft Raises $250 Million To Step Up Competition Against Uber

On-demand car service Lyft said April 2 it closed a $250 million Series D round of financing, led by Coatue Management. The funding total is higher than previously reported -- about on par with the amount Uber, its main competitor, raised last summer.
