DALLASTOWN, Pa. — Trans/Air Manufacturing Corporation is pleased to announce a new RT96 Rooftop System. The Trans/Air RT96 roof top system has a IMACA capacity rating of 96,000 Btu/Hr (plus dash), making it a perfect match for mid-sized limo coaches up to 33 passengers (or 33-feet long), that are on chassis like the Ford F550, Ram550, or Navistar UC.
Also newly available is the RT65, rated at 65,000 Btu/Hr (plus dash) that can be installed on the Ford E450 or GM3500/4500 chassis coaches. Two RT65’s can be paired on larger coaches up to 45 passengers including the Freightliner M-2, Ford 650/750 and the Navistar TC chassis. All systems are offered with compressor protecting EC4.0 electronic controls, free-blow or ducted air distribution, and optional heat. A dual RT65 configuration, with dual 13 CID automotive compressors or single TM43 transit compressor, ranges from 80K (SAE) to 128K (IMACA) BTU/hr.
A distinctive feature of the RT65/RT96 is the unique orientation of the evaporator blowers. Blowers are mounted to either side of the center aisle providing more head clearance and oriented towards the front and rear of the bus for maximum air flow. The RT65/RT96 ducted air distribution configurations can be adapted to any OEM style duct work.
