Limousine Network Grows During Tough Times

CARLSBAD, CA -  In the two months since the formal launch of the 1-800-GET-LIMO national limousine network, limousine operators have secured their local area codes as unique extensions on the 1-800-GET-LIMO network. More than one-third of the nation's area code extensions already have been taken.

"Given the tough economic times the industry is facing, I have been extremely pleased by the outpouring of support for our concept of creating a national network of the industry's finest limousine companies," said 1-800-GET-LIMO president Mark Adkins. 

Sedan, SUV, and limousine operators that join the 1-800-GET-LIMO national network obtain the exclusive rights to a three-digit extension on the 1-800-GET-LIMO phone system. Clients dial 1-800-GET-LIMO plus the three-digit extension of their operator of choice. Passengers or travel agents who do not have a preferred limousine company simply enter the area code where they or their clients need service.

"Our goal is to cultivate a network representing the finest operators in the industry," Adkins said. "For example, over a third of the current board of directors 0f the National Limousine Association (NLA) have joined the network. Network members exemplify professionalism and a care for the good of the industry as a whole."

Each members has the right to use 1-800-GET-LIMO and their extension in their own marketing. In addition, the company invests in marketing efforts to promote the 1-800-GET-LIMO network to the business travel community and passengers in general.

"We have a significant head start because this service is an addition to our business-travel oriented transportation application, 1-800-TAXICAB," Adkins said. "Now we want to educate members of the NBTA, MPI and similar organizations that they can dial 1-800-GET-LIMO and enter the area code where they need to book travel and speak directly to a premier limousine operator local to that area."
