NEW YORK — Carey International Inc., the top global chauffeured transportation provider, recently launched its U.S. partnership with Global Ethics Ltd. of the United Kingdom to help fund a program to provide clean water to remote villages in Africa.

Carey offers its clients One Water as the standard amenity in all of its Carey New York vehicles. All the proceeds from Carey’s purchase of One Water go towards building PlayPumpwater pumping systems in Africa.

An imaginative way to improve people’s lives by providing free, clean water, the PlayPumpsystems are innovative, sustainable, patented water pumps powered by children at play, according to the company.

Installed near schools, the PlayPump system doubles as a water pump and a merry-go-round for children. While children play, clean water is pumped from deep underground into large storage tanks connected to taps, providing safe water for schools and their communities.
