Four Operators Sign Up For Greener Pastures

Posted on January 4, 2009

TORONTO — Four leading chauffeured transportation operators recently signed up with Green Ride Global, a consultancy that helps transportation companies set up environmental sustainability programs.

Those companies include ROCKSTAR Limo of Newport, R.I.; Regency Global of Pittsburgh; Allante Limousine of Ottawa, Ontario; and Denver Lincoln Limousine Inc. of Denver.

The operators all are looking for ways to reduce the environmental footprint of their operations. A core component of any environmental sustainability program — such as Green Ride Global's — should be aimed at achieving operational GHG (greenhouse gas) reductions, making the subsequent cost-savings attributed to reduced electricity use, waste diversion, and water retention available during an economic slump, said Justin Raymond, CEO of Toronto-based Green Ride Global.
