UP AND COMER: BMW made a big splash in the chauffeured transportation industry this year with its debut of a limo/livery program that offers operators the BMW 535i GT and the BMW 750 Li luxury sedans. CarAdvice.com has an article updating the various 7-series models for 2012.

LCT will publish a feature on the 750 Li in August based on an anticipated test period within a few weeks. The June/July issue will include a review of the BMW 535i GT. BMW's entry into the chauffeured luxury vehicle market, coupled with the entrenched presence of Mercedes-Benz via its E- and S-Class sedans, means limo operators now have a substantial, competitive choice between the world's two leading Germany luxury automakers. -- Martin Romjue, LCT editor
