HYDROGEN!
Let's hope this highway and many more get built. Today kicks off the Hydrogen Road Tour, featuring a coast-to-coast convoy of hydrogen vehicles from several different automakers.

The vehicles are driving across American to call attention to the need for a hydrogen fueling network and more aggressive support by business and government for this alternative energy vehicle option.

Question: Although GM and Daimler are represented, where is the heavy-duty Detroit presence? We need the Big Three to pick up the ball on this innovative technology since it shows much promise. Why cede it to BMW, Toyota, and Nissan?

The chauffeured transportation industry will need big, comfortable, green vehicles, and likely would stay loyal to a Lincoln Hydrogen Town Car or Navigator, or comparable model. Detroit should not let BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, and Nissan get the upper hand in making luxury green vehicles. -- M.R.
