LONG BEACH, N.Y. — Insurance rates are the second biggest industry challenge cited by operators, according to the 2016-2017 LCT Fact Book. While many different insurance companies catering to the chauffeured transportation industry, Matt Mushorn, vice president and product manager for Lancer Insurance, believes Lancer sets itself apart with its long-term commitment to serving the industry, unparalleled support, and cooperation with national, regional, and state limousine associations.

Benefit Bushels

Whether you operate sedans, SUVs, stretches, limo buses, or motorcoaches, Lancer’s got your back. But Mushorn says insurance coverage isn’t the only valuable asset you’ll gain when you choose them over the competition. Other advantages include:

Covered Realities

Naturally, one factor that sets chauffeured transportation apart from TNCs like Uber and Lyft is duty of care. This means having insurance that will protect your clients, vehicles, and reputation. Lancer provides a variety of coverages including:

  • Commercial automobile liability
  • Garage liability
  • General liability (protects other critical components of your business, including your facility, office areas, parking areas, outside storage facilities, and vacant land)
  • Physical damage
  • International coverage

In a testimonial, James Ells, general manager of Avalon Transportation in San Francisco, Calif., said, “When we have a claim, I can count on Lancer to handle it quickly. After an accident, my Lancer reps know our top priority is getting our car back on the road. I’ve had adjusters show up the next day to authorize repairs, with checks to vendors following promptly. And Lancer’s Loss Recovery Program quickly gets us compensated for our vehicle downtime. With Lancer, I always get straight answers, competence, and efficiency. That saves us time and money and makes me look good as a general manager.”
