George Jacobs, owner of American Limousine in Burr Ridge, IL, has acquired Hinsdale Limousine, a Chicago-area company with revenues exceeding $4 million annually. Hinsdale Limousine was owned by Anna Kolakowski, a former 10-year American Limousine employee.
American Limousine, the third largest limousine company in the U.S., according to the Limousine & Chauffeured Transportation Top 50, had revenues of $25 million in 1997. Jacobs’ fleet consists of 291 vehicles. American employs 450 chauffeurs and 170 office staff.
Jacobs was named “LCT Operator of the Year” in 1996 (large category) and one of the 10 most significant people of the decade by LCT. He is a past National Limousine Association (NLA) president and is currently a board member.
“The synergy generated by these two companies is tremendous,” says Jacobs. “We simply complement one another. Our combined resources will make it more convenient and economical for the traveling public. The Hinsdale name and reputation is very special and we look forward to this union of two great companies with intense anticipation.”
