Jamie is gone now, but not forgotten.
Thanks to Mink’s Limousine, Inc. in Mason, OH, the memory of Jamie Flaugher, an 18-year-old cancer patient, will live on in the Cincinnati area.
Jamie, always a football fan, had dreamed of one day playing football and being a co-captain on his high school team. He made co-captain but was never able to play. One of his final wishes was to attend a Bengal’s game and Mink’s Limousine made it a special trip.
They decorated the limousine with Bengal colors and Jamie’s name, then brought the whole family to the game. It was definitely a hit! The limousine has since become a fixture in the company’s fleet.
Nancy Mink, vice president of Mink’s, wants to let everyone know that “you do not have to have a local chapter of ‘Make-A-Wish’ [an organization that grants wishes to terminally ill children] to help. Contact your local hospital and find out how you can help.”

Mink’s works through a group called Cincinnati FunRaisers. The livery service has done a number of runs for FunRaisers and Children’s Hospital. According to Mink, “The runs I have done personally have meant more to me than words can express. Not only am I the mother of two healthy girls, with another on the way, but I realize that helping these special kids makes me appreciate every day with my kids, family and friends.
“Jamie’s run was our first and the one that will always hold a special meaning to me,” adds Mink.
