Full Service Firm Offers Marketing and Printing

PLANTATION, Fla. — At Print4LessInk, being a print shop means more than ink on paper. It gives customers a full array of commercial-related services, from simple printing of business materials to developing a complete marketing strategy.

With 64 employees, Print4LessInk’s team includes accomplished graphic designers, customer service representatives, production heads, pre-press workers, pressmen and binding operators, to name a few.

“We do everything from developing a logo to designing a brochure or marketing packet,” said Rick Erens, president of Print4LessInk. “We also have no problem just printing other people’s designs. All printing needs are important and necessary.”

Every designer hired by Printing4LessInk has a different style; therefore, clients have many choices. “It’s the designer’s job to try and narrow down a customer’s concept so we can see what they’re envisioning in their head. We have to help bring out these ideas and put them on paper.”

The facility is made up of two buildings, a main structure for daily tasks and a second shop next door for finishing work and storage.

Staying affordable
As its name suggests, Printing4LessInk’s main priority is to keep costs down. “In this economy, everyone has a different marketing budget and we want to accommodate that,” Erens said.

The ability to design and manufacture products in-house makes the entire printing process more affordable for the company, as the middle man is cut out. Such savings allow Printing4LessInk to invest in better equipment and new technologies.

“What sets us apart is that we strive to keep the newest products coming through,” Erens said. “This way production time is faster, and as a larger facility we also have greater purchasing power.”

This works in customers’ favor as well. “In an economy where people are cutting back, my company is growing, and I think it’s because we offer quality at a fair price through the development of what we have here,” Erens said. “Our affordability helps our clients build their businesses more efficiently.”

Catering to customers
Having the facilities to manufacture materials in-house also gives Printing4LessInk the ability to establish noticeably quick turnaround for clients.

Once a customer approves a design, the product can be ready anywhere from one hour to five business days, depending on the size of the job. Almost everything is turned around in under 72 hours, Erens said.

“If someone calls up and says they’re in a pinch, I just rearrange the order of printing to get it done,” Erens said. “That’s the main benefit of in-house. It’s a whole different type — and a better type — of customer service that can be presented to the client.”

Printing4LessInk frequently takes rush orders for no additional fee. “We really want to be that go-to place that customers can count on,” Erens said. “Once you take care of a customer and they’re satisfied, they don’t think about going somewhere else to redesign. They want to go back to the guy that got it done.”

Fleet relations
Printing4LessInk has been working with limousine fleets for the past three years after Thomas Horne — the company’s vice president — joined the team. A former marketing manager, Horne brought with him a large base of industry clients.

“When Horne joined the team, he recommended getting involved with limo companies,” Erens said. “He said it’s a fantastic industry where people aren’t receiving fair prices. We now have some very loyal limo customers, and we’re happy to help the industry.”

Printing4LessInk is working to expand its industry relationships by attending conferences, including last year’s International LCT Show. Limo clients frequently order products such as rack cards, business cards, brochures and direct mail pieces, Erens said.
