“Together We Serve You Better” is the motto of the newly formed Limousine Association of Greater St. Louis, which began December 5, 1983.

The organization’s purpose, according to Dave Kurre, of both Cloud Limousines and the association is, “to combine the experience, knowledge, resources and equipment of independent limousine owners and operators to provide St. Louis residents and visitors with the finest limousines service available.”

In his speech that evening, Kurre said, “We started our association about four months ago when all the gentlemen I just introduced had decided that we all had the same basic goals and problems and that we could work together to provide the very best professional chauffeured limousines possible. We have the equipment … to satisfy, I think, the most discriminating of clients.

“Here is an example of what our association can do. A few weeks ago, one of our members received a booking from General Motors for a larger number of their top officials coming into St. Louis International Airport. One of the first requirements was that the 10 units needed were, naturally, GM products. After a few phone calls to the other members, the necessary limousines were acquired.”

Parking was then negotiated with the airport. “In a matter of less than four hours, there were 84 guests met and welcomed to St. Louis on 26 different flights. This required 24 trips made to a major St. Louis hotel which I think is quite a feat.”

Founding member companies include Baucom’s Executive Limousine Service, Executive Limousine Service, Buie’s Limousine Service, Cloud Limousines, LeCompte-Radford Limousine Service, Roberts Famous-Barr Limousines, Royal Limousine Service, S & L Limousine  Service, Show Me Limousine Service, Town & Country Limousine and Knight Limousines.
