How Will Driverless Cars Affect Your Fleet Business?
That burning question is front and center at the upcoming LCT Technology Summit.
After more than 13 years of serving the livery industry, Napleton Lincoln Mercury’s Limousine Director Elmer Harris has had enough experience to know that the central issue separating one dealership from another is the ability to quickly address operators’ concerns and help them keep their vehicles on the road
Although the Napleton Auto Group’s history dates back to 1931, Napleton Lincoln-Mercury actually stepped into the livery industry in September 2001 and became a LimoCare dealer the following month.
The dealership has continued to bolster its Total Livery Commitment program, which was created to “treat limousine owners like VIPs," Harris notes. “We get them in and out quick, offer loaner cars so they can keep doing business and offer 50% off labor and parts.”
Selling and servicing all of Lincoln’s QVM products-including Town Cars, “L” Series sedans, standard limousines and Excursion and Navigator stretches – Napleton Lincoln-Mercury has five lifts capable of accommodating 120-inch stretches and is planning to install two lifts that will be able to handle 140-inch Excursions and Navigators.
As the Midwest dealer for Krystal Enterprises, Napleton also sells and services minibuses.
“Any dealership can sell you a vehicle,” admits Harris. “But LimoCare dealers really take care of operators. We don’t just treat you like everybody else; that could be frustrating if you’re waiting to get your vehicle back so you can do a job.”
Beyond remaining committed to serving the needs of its limousine clientele, Napleton supports the local industry as a vendor member of the Illinois Limousine Association.
Harris plans to host at least one of the organization’s meetings in the near future, and looks forward to developing “members only” discount programs.
The Napleton Auto Group continues to be family-owned and operates 22 dealerships throughout the Chicago area and Northern Indiana, including the Lincoln-Mercury facilities and a Cadillac dealership.
Collectively, they have served more than 300.000 customers and currently employ more than 600.
The Napleton Auto Group was started more than 70 years ago with a Buick dealership.
Mike Bedard, Ford’s limousine and livery manager, praises Napleton as one of the outstanding dealerships in Chicago.
Harris “is a true professional who does a great job selling and servicing the industry, he is always upbeat and willing to help no matter what the situation.” Bedard says. “Ford is very lucky to have Napleton representing our products to the industry.”
