General Motors said it expects to begin delivering its new armored DeVille to limousine operators and other buyers this month.

Cadillac is offering two armored DeVille models, a standard DeVille and an 8-inch stretch.

The armored DeVille’s are being outfitted by Chicago-based Scaletta Moloney Armoring, which has long worked with Cadillac and other manufacturers on armoring cars for government and private use.

Protection features include run-flat tires, a reinforced steel frame, bullet resistant glass and other elements designed to protect the occupants from attack.

Twenty-two dealers with specially trained sales and service staffs are selling the vehicles. Prices for the standard model start at $116, 995; the 8-inch stretch version starts at $133, 995.
