NEW YORK – With an 85-21 vote, Music Express defeated the Teamster’s attempt to unionize its East Coast operation, apparently the result of a disgruntled former employee.

“We won hands down,” said Cheryl Berkman, vice president of Music Express.

“I give Cheryl all the credit in the world,” said Barry Lefkowitz, LANJ executive director. “The industry should be proud of her, because what she has accomplished in keeping back the tide has just been extraordinary.
