As BMW pursues chauffeured transportation fleets more aggressively this year, by offering attractive incentives and extended warranties, both the 740Li and 528i have been doing well entering into fleets. The 528i series, although not as spacious as its big brother the 740Li, offers many features that make it appealing for chauffeured transportation.

The vehicle has a high-tech LED instrument panel and dashboard console.

The smaller engine on the 528i and the auto start-stop function help save gas, but the turbocharged 4-cylinder can still deliver 240 horsepower, which is more than enough to comfortably accelerate through traffic and merge onto freeways.

The rear legroom offers about 36 inches of space, and the multi-directional power seats can move the front seat up and create enough room to seat two in the backseat comfortably.

Backup cameras and tilting side view mirrors make parking, even in tight quarters, easy and accurate. The in-dash GPS system has everything you need to quickly direct you to destinations, find local gas stations, and even read you the news.

For the price, the BMW 528i exceeds expectations for a mid-size chauffeured luxury sedan, delivers on value, and evokes larger premium sedans. This sedan suits metro areas where its moderate size eases navigation of tight streets and congested intersections.
