During his term, Reindl spoke in front of the Houston City Council to explain the safety concerns for TNC passengers, and the unequal regulations in place for limo companies and TNCs. He believes that HALCA will progress on these issues. “The Houston Area Livery and Charter Association is a strong association,” Reindl said. “We have great turnouts for our events and we have been growing our membership.”

The West Florida Livery Association (WFLA) held board elections. The new lineup includes: President Dave Shaw (Olympus Limousine, New Port Richey); Vice President Jeremy Jenkins (Florida Limousine Services, Pinellas, Park); Treasurer Sheri Boesch (Network Limousines, Tampa); Secretary Joe Russo (Primetime Limousine, Sarasota); At Large Director Dan Redd ( Town & Country Limousine, Sarasota); At-Large Director David Morris (Kings Executive Limo & Car Service, Brandon); At-Large Director Terry Kurmay (Alpha Limousine& Chauffeur Service, Pinellas Park); Vendor Director Vince Tranchina (Limo Depot, Hollywood).

Viva LCT Las Vegas
One of the great things about covering industry associations is networking with members at our International Show in Las Vegas, East Show in Atlantic City, N.J., and our annual Leadership Summit in Miami Beach, Fla.

Next month, I look forward to catching up with association members at the Venetian & Palazzo Resort Hotel in Las Vegas during our International LCT Show, March 16-18. Because the National Limousine Association Show Committee produces the educational sessions, state and regional association leaders participate as speakers and panel members. This “meeting of the minds” provides operators a wealth of knowledge and real-world practical applications about running and improving a professional chauffeur transportation company. In addition, the NLA Board of Directors are there in full force, networking, providing industry and NLA updates, greeting and cheering on new operators, and participating on the many panel sessions throughout the three-day event.

From an editorial perspective, LCT editors get to load up on article ideas and meet operators from around the world and pick their brains about the industry. So take this as an invitation to seek out the LCT editorial team for a chat, coffee or drink during the Show. We have a booth on the Show floor. Take some time to seek us out because we want to meet you. Martin Romjue (editor), Tim Crowley (senior editor), Jim Luff (contributing editor) and yours truly will be on hand for the entire event.
