2010 ILCT Show: Limos.com Debuts Online Business Feature

One area of the industry that kept growing during 2009 was Internet-based booking and sales leads. Doug Anderson, vice president of limo lead-generator Limos.com, said the market opportunities for online bookings will hit an accelerated critical mass as upwardly mobile, always-wired, socially networked consumers make more commercial use of home, office, and portable connections to the Internet. The Internet population worldwide already stands at 1.7 billion, with 80% of the developed world connected to broadband. To survive and succeed, operators must pursue and win over online what Anderson calls "GTD customers Get Things Done": affluent, always connected, and busy.

In a separate road show session, Anderson debuted Limos.com's  Limos.com For Business platform, designed to directly help companies manage their chauffeured transportation travel spending while connecting directly to preferred operators. From the company standpoint, Limos.com For Business gives companies the ability to consolidate their spending on one platform that has all the inventory in it and pricing combos they need as buyers, Anderson said. The platform also enables corporate clients to manage policies among employees and report on spending and usage. For operators, the venue allows them to serve more corporate clients who are repeat, bulk users of chauffeured transportation. Limos.com sorts qualifying operators based on individual company criteria as well as quality performance and equipment criteria, separating operators into three levels.
