Bridging the gap between luxury transportation and affordable fuel efficiency the Hybrid L by Royale is America's most fuel-efficient livery vehicle. By extending the chassis and rear doors-as well as adding many luxury upgrades-Royale has created the first purpose-built Hybrid Electric Livery Vehicle. The Hybrid L offers nearly 95% of the rear leg and shoulder room of the Lincoln Town Car Executive L, while delivering twice the fuel economy.

This super ultra low emission (SULEV) livery sedan also produces little or no idle emissions because its accessory battery runs the AC at idle. The regenerative braking system keeps the drive battery charged to propel it through city driving up to 47 mph.

Drivers trained in mileage-maximizing techniques achieved 1,445 miles on a single tank of gas in a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid - averaging 81.5 mpg in Washington, D.C. - and set world record for gasoline-powered, midsize sedans. For the Fusion Hybrid 1,000-Mile Challenge, drivers used techniques such as smooth acceleration and coasting to red lights. They did it in an off-the-showroom floor, non-modified 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and nearly doubled its U.S. certified mileage.

The 2010 Hybrid L Fusion Livery Sedan from Royale Limousine Manufacturers offers 47 mph in electric mode and delivers an EPA-estimated 41 mpg city and 36 mpg highway. It arrives with eco-responsible fabric, road-and-leaf badging and SmartGuage with EcoGuide.

The vehicle's regenerative braking system keeps the battery charged to handle city driving up to 47 mph as well as running the AC at idle and adding to the actual overall fuel savings. Each time the chauffeur presses the brake pedal, the battery charges, meaning the vehicle actually does its best mileage in town with stop-and-go traffic when it will be pulling energy from the battery.
