BMW Offers New Extended 150,000-Mile Limo Warranty Contract

Posted on November 20, 2013

WOODCLIFFE LAKE, N.J. — BMW of North America is offering a three-year, 150,000-mile extended service contract under its Limousine and Hotel Shuttle Program.

Designed for the specific needs of the limousine industry, the service contract covers the following content: engine, automatic transmission, final drive assembly, transfer case (xDrive vehicles only), electrical, cooling and fuel systems, air conditioning, brakes, and suspension. In addition, the Service Contract also covers wear and tear for all of the above.

Previously, under the program, BMW offered its standard new vehicle limited warranty of four years or 50,000 miles, with no option to upgrade.

The warranty applies to the BMW 750Li, BMW 740Li, and BMW 535i GT which are promoted to limousine operators.

The new extended service contract is a response to the limousine industry needing a longer warranty because vehicles can average 50,000 miles a year.

“With the new BMW extended service contract, we want to show our commitment to the livery industry and that we are listening to the specific needs of our customers,” said Marco Schneider, key account manager Limousine and Hotel Shuttle Program. “The service contract was specifically designed for high mileage wear and tear, which is important to operators for a better return on their investment and the security of knowing major components are under warranty for 150,000 miles.”

For more information on the BMW Limousine and Hotel Shuttle Program and the BMW extended service contract, contact Marco Schneider at [email protected] or your local authorized BMW Center.
