DETROIT, Mich. — Following a report from Worldcarfans.com, Cadillac has confirmed the next-generation Escalade will debut later this year before going on sale in early 2014 as a 2015 model. Cadillac should pull off a good debut for the Escalade, especially considering that even today, the aging rig still sells well without major marketing efforts.
For 2014, the Escalade moves onto a new platform shared with the latest GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, inherits a new Gen V small-block-derived V-8 engine, and gets a more differentiated interior relative to its Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon cousins. The truck’s cache, however, should stay as vibrant as before.
The Oct. 7, 2013, premiere of the 2015 model will be at the Altman Building in New York City. There have been some "spy" shots of the exterior and interior you can view at www.leftlanenews.com, and www.autoblog.com.
