ST. ALBANS, U.K. — Following feedback from the UK limousine industry and chauffeurs, Volvo Car UK has launched its Volvo Chauffeur Program 2013 to appeal to a range of customers from owner-operators to companies with large fleets.

According to FleetWorld.co.uk, the new Volvo livery program “places new and used vehicles on the same program for clarity, and to ensure chauffeurs receive the same levels of service. Used cars will be chauffeur vehicles already ordered, used, serviced and maintained in this market, including vehicles from the Tristar Worldwide fleet which will be six-months old with 30,000 miles.”

Volvo has partnered with Ethos Finance to provide funding both new and used vehicles while Volvo Car Leasing will continue to offer contracts for new vehicles.

The program includes a 12-month policy for fault and non-fault accidents requiring the car to be off the road for a period of time. Subject to terms and conditions, Volvo’s partner Proximo will supply a replacement vehicle which is fully licensed for a chauffeur’s local area.

Volvo also will supply a Roadhawk in-car black box / forward-facing camera to record the road and capture footage for evidence in the event of an accident.

Selwyn Cooper, national corporate operations manager for Volvo Car UK, said: ‘We undertook extensive research to really understand the needs of the market and discovered aftercare and an attractive used offering figured highly on the lists of many.”
