DETROIT – The chauffeured transportation industry is about to gain two more limousine vehicle options in an ever-widening, competitive market for luxury vehicles.

After debuting its Cadillac XTS sedan in February at the International LCT Show in Las Vegas, Cadillac Professional Vehicles just announced that order banks will open Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 for the following extended versions of the 2013 XTS sedan chassis: (W30) XTS-L Extended Sedan, (V4U) XTS Limousine and (B9Q) XTS Hearse.

The XTS-L can be streched five to eight inches, for added legroom reminiscient of the retired Lincoln Town Car Executive L, which was stretched an additional six inches. The XTS Limousine, ideal for corporate and funeral markets, can be streched up to 70 inches.

Production on all three extended XTS livery models starts in mid-November. First deliveries to customers, along with the start of fleet service, are expected during the first quarter of 2013.

“We are excited to begin production on the industry’s only large luxury sedan that is specifically engineered and validated for the professional vehicle industries and covered with an extended warranty,” said Ray Bush, Cadillac professional vehicle program manager, in a statement.

Chassis pricing has been announced to the Cadillac Master Coachbuilders. Many already have produced prototypes for the limousine industry’s national trade show season.
