BOSTON — Boston Car Service, which is celebrating its 15th year in the ultra-competitive Boston market, has replaced and upgraded its entire sedan and SUV fleet.

The company, which operators at total of 16 vehicles, now deploys 2013 BMW 535i xDrive Gran Turismo luxury sedans and 2013 Cadillac Escalade ESV SUVs to serve its New England client base. The vehicles entered fleet service on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

Boston Car CEO, Brett Barenholtz, told LCT that he liked the all-wheel drive version of the 535i GT, which handles well in northeast weather. He also felt that the 5 Series GT sedans “have great room for one and two passengers, which is about 85% of our work.”

The 2013 BMW 535i xDrive GT sedans are built on the same platform as the BMW 7 series and feature all-wheel drive, a vista roof, partially reclining rear seats, ample headroom, real-time GPS tracking and up to 22.5 inches of legroom as measured along the floor from rear seat bottom to front seat bottom.

Boston Car Service bought the BMW sedans from Herb Chambers BMW in Boston.

The new 2013 Cadillac Escalade ESV luxury SUVs seat up to seven passengers and feature all-wheel drive, real-time GPS tracking and plenty of cargo space.

“We are pleased to give our clients what we think is the best and newest luxury fleet of cars in the country,” Barenholtz said. “We love the new vehicles and have had great reviews from our clients. We wanted to give our clients something special as a show of thanks for entrusting [us] with their transportation needs.”
