BEIJING — Following in the footsteps of last year’s Shanghai debut of the Ghost Extended Wheelbase sedan, Rolls-Royce has revealed a Phantom II Extended Wheelbase sedan in Beijing today at Auto China 2012. No specifications on the extended length are available yet, but a Rolls-Royce press release on the extended wheelbase Phantom II says the model features “significant improvements in design, drive-train and technology.”

Some of the enhancements include:

  • Restyled bumpers
  • Rectangular light apertures
  • LED headlamps
  • Satellite nav with functions that include 3D maps and composite route planning
  • 8.8-inch touchscreen control center display
  • Front, rear and top-view camera systems
  • 10% improved fuel economy

The vehicle’s launch follows the debut of the Series II Phantom Saloon, Phantom Coupe and Phantom Drophead at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Rolls-Royce continues to grow in China, where it has opened three new showrooms this year with five more to follow.

Rolls-Royce exhibited at the International LCT Show for the first time this year, hitting the 2012 ILCT trade show floor with the 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost EWB Ghost Extended Wheelbase sedan.
