Rolls-Royce Hearse Gives Phantom A New Meaning

BOLOGNA, Italy — Biemme Special Cars debuted its custom Rolls-Royce Phantom hearse at the Tan Expo funeral home show in Bologna, Italy, which ran from March 23-25. The specialty vehicle features a self-leveling air suspension and is powered by the same 6.75-liter V12 engine found in the standard Phantom, generating 453 horses to take clients on their last ride. 

The Rolls-Royce hearse is 23 feet long and the designers retained rear suicide doors for additional live passengers. The vehicle and its tail are constructed entirely of aluminum, using more than 600 parts and more than 650 feet of welding. Biemme projects the hearse to cost about $662,000.
