WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. — For the first time in its history, BMW will attend the 2012 International LCT Show Feb. 13-15, displaying the award winning BMW 5 Series GT (Gran Turismo) and BMW 7 Series long wheelbase.

The exclusive LCT debut signifies BMW North America’s launch of a formal chauffeured vehicle program for the U.S. market. The International LCT Show is being held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Autocar magazine described the GT as the most comfortable place to sit other than a Rolls Royce and it is this level of interior space and comfort that has led to the BMW 5 Series GT being awarded The Best in Class Award for 2011 in the U.K. Combined with new and exclusive offers for the U.S. chauffeur market, the BMW 5 Series GT is set to offer new standards in comfort and versatility coupled with a low total cost of ownership.

The interior is designed for driver and passenger comfort. In the rear, ample legroom offers comfort for up to three passengers. The optional Luxury Rear Seating Package provides two individual, multi-adjustable power seats, separated by a center console.  Passengers enjoy legroom nearly equal to the 7 Series and headroom equivalent to the BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle while the self-leveling air suspension system smoothes the bumps in the road.

The versatility of the BMW 5 Series GT means it is perfectly tailored for chauffeurs, including a Dual-Access Tailgate, which opens to allow storage of items without exposing your client to cold, heat or drafts. The large tailgate provides excellent flexibility, with the entire tailgate opening for the storage of larger loads at the touch of a button on the key.

BMW presence at the International LCT Show would not be complete without the flagship BMW 7 Series. If it’s the driver’s job to drive, it’s the passenger’s role to relax. To that end, BMW has made the rear seating more comfortable and spacious than ever in the flagship BMW 7 Series long (Li) variant: the BMW 740Li, the BMW 750Li- both of which are available in rear wheel drive or with BMW’s xDrive intelligent AWD (All Wheel Drive) system — and the top of the range BMW 760Li. The BMW 7 Series Li range is completed with the world’s most luxurious and fastest street legal hybrid, the BMW ActiveHybrid750Li.

All BMW 7 Series Li variants enjoy a longer wheelbase and noticeably larger rear doors to make it easier to enter the vehicle. The class-leading rear legroom* allows passengers ample room to stretch while the rear seats include an optional 12-way massager to soothe back muscles by producing a wave motion from the top of the back to the bottom. At the same time, six rotating massage elements work in the shoulder and lower back areas. Furthermore, Optional Rear Comfort Seats are not only individually adjustable, but are heated and ventilated to provide climate comfort as well. In the end, the ride becomes much more than a means to a destination.
The BMW 5 Series GT and BMW 7 Series both offer exceptional value with low total cost of ownership thanks, in part, to the no-cost maintenance program for the first four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The no-cost maintenance allows Chauffeur customers to enjoy added peace of mind as standard.
