DATTCO Named Exclusive Distributor For Mauck2 Vehicles

Posted on August 24, 2011

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — DATTCO Inc. has been selected as the exclusive national distributor for the Mauck2 executive van. As the national distributor, DATTCO will select dealers from across the country to sell and service the Mauck2.

DATTCO’s sales team has begun to show the vehicle across New England and will roll out national demonstrations by the end of the year through its associate dealer network and selected conventions.

The Mauck2 is built on the Mercedes Freightliner Sprinter chassis, which is considered to be the most fuel-efficient and best-handling light truck chassis on the market today.  The custom body is technically a cut-away and is 10 inches wider than the standard Sprinter. The custom curved-glass windows and customizable interior make it a good option for the livery industry.

“The Mauck2 truly is a head-turner backed by quality, comfort and fantastic performance,” says Comer Hobbs, director of commercial vehicle sales at DATTCO.  “We had several Mauck2 vehicles at our DATTCO EXPO this past April, and they were extremely well received. We are t
hrilled to be the first and exclusive national distributor for this exceptional vehicle.”

Mauck2 chose DATTCO because of its 85-year history in the bus business and its existing network of dealers and service professionals nationwide. DATTCO is known for high standards in safety and quality, which are in line with Mauck2’s own business model.

“They truly are a natural sales partner for us in this venture,” says Andy Mauck, president of Mauck2. “With DATTCO overseeing sales and service, we will be free to concentrate on building these next generation transportation vehicles while continuing to raise the bar for the entire industry.”

Based in Columbus, Ohio, Mauck2, LLC, is the manufacturer of the M2 wide body for the 170-inch WB 3500-series Sprinter cab-chassis. Designed to suit multiple conversion applications, each Mauck2 vehicle is fully customized for each customer’s exact specifications. All Mauck2 vehicles are built in Columbus.

The body design incorporates large curved-glass windows that give it a sleek look while offering passengers a panoramic view.
