Paris-based Cardel Global adapts a minivan as its global office vehicle that brings the workplace to the corporate traveler.
PARIS — Cardel Global’s limousine service gives customers an office environment with all the attendant tools while traveling from Point A to Point B.
recently launched ITS Global Office Car, a Mercedes Viano that combines comfort and efficiency, providing onboard amenities conducive to productivity.
The car includes a high-tech multimedia face-to-face meeting area with seats for four people. The office-like features include a retractable table; two ceiling projection screens; a PC board, enabling riders to immediately connect their laptops via Wi-Fi or through USB ports in the cockpit; a wide angle camera, allowing travelers to organize videoconferences; two 220V plugs and chargers for Blackberries, phones and laptops; and an onboard refrigerator stocked with refreshments.
In addition to the Global Office Car, Cardel also supplies bilingual limousine chauffeurs, selected for their reliability, helpfulness and courtesy. Their fleet, mainly comprised of luxury Mercedes, Peugeots, Velsatis, and Renaults, is designed to meet all forms of transportation needs, serving several large institutions, including international banks and blue chip companies.
Cardel Global was the first limousine service to create financial roadshow transportation services in France in 1999 after becoming a subsidiary of Premier Limousine Group, according to the company.
“This is a real revolution in our industry,” said Karim Maachi, general manager, Worldwide Financial Roadshows Service, Cardel Global. “Our financial corporate roadshow service is a leader in Europe. We specialize in providing business to business ground and air transportation and organize solutions for most of the European Banks, [with offices] all over the world.”
Cardel Global has placed a priority on innovation and new technologies. The company spent one year analyzing in detail its clients’ needs to ensure it could offer many of the same support and services the clients have in their own offices during their business travel. “We’re really proud to be the first European transportation company to provide this level of technology in a vehicle totally dedicated to corporate travel,” Maachi said.
Due to the success the vehicle has seen in France, the company expects to make it available in most of the major European cities in the months to come. More and more U.S. limousine companies in Paris are using the vehicle as well, Maachi added.
The builder, Bur’Auto, is a small, family-owned business based in Paris, specializing in high-tech customization of luxury vehicles.
