The long-wheelbase Hyundai Equus saloon will be the largest and most expensive vehicle in the Hyundai line-up and will take on the likes of the BMW 7-Series, the Lexus LS460L, and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Hyundai says the car will offer unparalleled levels of interior space and luxury. The vehicle is longer than major competitors by as much as 310mm, with up to 376 mm more backseat legroom. Interior luxuries include a power-driven rear passenger footrest, posture control, and a massage system.
It will be powered by a 394bhp 5.0-litre V8 that delivers a peak torque of 368lb-ft and Hyundai claims it will outperform the LS460L by 19bhp and the Mercedes S500L by 11bhp.
Hyundai also has developed a bulletproof version and has delivered three units to the Korean President.
It's primarily aimed at Hyundai's domestic Korean market.
