DETROIT — Cadillac tops two categories in the 2009 Motorist Choice Awards. Cadillac tied as the winner of the Large Luxury Car category and won the Premium Luxury SUV category.
“We are pleased that the Cadillac DTS and Escalade continue to be recognized by the industry as leading large luxury vehicles. Customer satisfaction and the overall ownership experience have always been a hallmark of Cadillac tradition,” said Ray Bush, Cadillac professional vehicle program manager.
The Awards recognize vehicles that combine high customer satisfaction scores and low ownership costs. The Awards were co-developed by AutoPacific, which measures customer satisfaction, and IntelliChoice.com, which calculates ownership costs. The committee evaluated 196 vehicles for this year’s awards.
General Motors was the second highest ranking manufacturer and the overall domestic winner, with six awards — two for Cadillac and four for Chevrolet.
“Clearly, consumers still get great satisfaction from large and luxurious cars, despite the economy, rising fuel costs and manufacturers’ focus on smaller vehicles,” said George Patterson, president of AutoPacific.
