A van designed to complement a limousine service’s fleet of cars by providing a vehicle that can carry a large number of passengers in similar style is being produced by Wide One Corporation, based in Anaheim, California.
To provide additional room and comfort, the “executive cruisers” are widened 14 inches and are also given another 12 inches of headroom, according to James Hanson, executive vice president of the company. A Dodge Max-Van is used as the base automobile.
“We see it as the type of car where a company can have a board meeting even as they are going to or from the airport,” said Hanson.
Wide One began its work with customizing vans by transforming them into RVs, but has begun producing more and more of their vans with a classier look more in line with the limousine service industry.
The interior of the executive cruiser can be produced according to the customer’s specifications.
