The heat of the summer months can play havoc on a vehicle. The increased demand on the cooling system is enough to potentially cause a vehicle long hours out of operation. Proper advance planning can help operators assure themselves that their vehicles will be able to run properly all summer long.

Use this checklist to make sure that your vehicles are ready for summer.

Oil

Battery (both batteries)

*Properly charged ? test to see if battery has sufficient charge *Battery fluid levels ? make sure ALL fluid levels are even and full *Battery terminals ? cleaned and make proper contact with cables *Battery cables ? intact, no cracks

Alternator
